Mozaer Makeup Reading Glasses: A 90-Day Review

For the past 90 days, or roughly three months, I've been using Mozaer's half reading glasses. This is my detailed, day-by-day account of what it's actually like to live with these unique glasses.

I'll admit I was skeptical at first. As someone who needs reading glasses and also enjoys wearing makeup, combining the two seemed like it could be tricky. I was just so tired of smudging my eyeliner while struggling to see clearly! These Mozaer glasses claimed to offer a solution, but could they really live up to that promise?

My main goals for these glasses were:

Day 1: First Impressions

The glasses arrived promptly in simple but secure packaging. Upon opening it, I found the glasses neatly wrapped. My first thought was that they looked a bit unconventional—the rotating lens is clearly the standout feature. I had ordered the +1.5 diopter model in red (+150-Red).

When I tried them on, the magnification felt spot-on for my needs. I immediately noticed the anti-blue light coating, which made my eyes feel slightly less strained while looking at my computer screen. The red color was bolder than my usual style, but I decided to embrace it.

The rotating lens mechanism felt a little stiff initially, though it seemed well-built. I hoped it wouldn't become too loose with regular use.

Verdict: A promising beginning, though the rotating lens needs some breaking in.

Week 1: Getting Used to Them

The first week was all about adaptation. Getting comfortable with the rotating lens took some practice. Switching from one eye to the other during makeup application felt a bit clumsy and awkward at first, though it was manageable. I had to experiment to find the right head position and accidentally bumped the lens a couple of times. I also wore them for reading. Being true half-frame glasses, I could easily look over the top for distance vision without any obstruction.

Here are the adjustments I made during this period:

One observation was that these glasses felt slightly heavier than my regular reading glasses. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but it was noticeable, particularly during extended wear.
